Create a Wordlace puzzle using the letters in your tray. Choose to play a 3-round (Classic) or a 4-round (Expert) game in the Menu. You start with 7 letter (first round.) Move letters to the board to form words that are valid, connected (no floaters!) and unique (no duplicates.) Non-valid words are marked in different colors.
Rearrange all the letters as you wish within each round. Return them to the tray by dragging them or by double clicking on them.
You can use the parking tray to have more space and scramble the letters in both trays. You can also scroll the board using the side arrows.
When you are happy with your board, click the forward button to move to the 2nd round. The tray will be refilled with 7 more letters and you can add more words to the board. If you are in Wordlace Classic Mode, you will play 3 rounds (21 letters); if you are in Expert Mode, you will play 4 rounds (28 letters).
Everybody gets the same daily letter sequence, no luck involved! When you finish all your rounds, check the Leaderboard where you can see how you fared against players you follow or the rest of the world. You can also Share your board (with or without words) on social media for bragging rights :).
Letters are worth 1, 5 or 9 points.
5 and 9-point letters are marked with a colored triangle. You get 5 more points for using 5-letter words, double the word score for 6-letter words, triple for 7-letter. Also, there is a hefty 50 point bonus at the end of the game for using all the letters in each round.
Words, letters' quantity and value are based on their actual frequency in American English. You cannot use proper names, symbols, prefixes and suffixes, words requiring apostrophes, dashes or hyphens, unusual variations, and abbreviations. We have a special word list created specifically for Wordlace.
You have 24-hours to play the Daily Game. No stress! A new game is published every day at 10pm EST--7pm PST (an hour before during daylight savings.) After the Daily Game ends, you can look at the Previous Leaderboard to see who won, other players' scores, and their boards.
If you want to play again to get a better score or try a different Mode, buy our Wordlace Subscription. No more Ads, and you can replay the Daily Game as many times as you wish. You can also play with friends at a party, a dinner, an outing, giving everybody a set time to finish it.
